Fresh off the viral success of its Tatar-language single "Piyala," AIGEL will bring its signature blend of electro, rap, psychedelic electronica, and Tatar lyrics to stages in NY (June 7th at Brooklyn's Music Hall of Williamsburg), Chicago, San Francisco, and LA. After the full-scale invasion of Ukraine in 2022, the band made an anti-war statement, was banned in Russia, and left the country. Currently, singer/songwriter AIGEL GAISINA is based in Berlin, while producer ILYA BARAMIIA resides in Montenegro. The duo creates and performs primarily in Russian and Tatar, with a bit of English.

An Academy Award nominee, Steve Carell makes his Broadway and Lincoln Center Theater debut in Lincoln Center Theater's (under the direction of André Bishop) production of Anton Chekhov’s classic UNCLE VANYA, featuring a new translation by Heidi Schreck, directed by Lila Neugebauer, which officially opens tonight Wednesday, April 24th, 6:45 PM at the Vivian Beaumont Theater for a strictly limited engagement through Sunday, June 16, 2024. The cast also features Jonathan Hadary as Waffles, William Jackson Harper as Astrov, Jayne Houdyshell as Mama Voinitski, Spencer Donovan Jones as Neighbor, Mia Katigbak as Marina, Alfred Molina as Alexander Serabryakov, Alison Pill as Sonya, and Anika Noni Rose as Yelena. 

Carell first garnered critical recognition for his contributions as a correspondent on Comedy Central's Emmy Award-winning “The Daily Show with Jon Stewart.” Over the course of two decades, Carell has successfully segued from the small screen to above-the-title status on the big screen, both in big-budget films and arthouse indies.
